About Together in Christ

TOGETHER IN CHRIST IS

a community of pastors, ministry leaders, marketplace leaders, and intercessors who desire to see spiritual transformation in Santa Rosa.

Knowing that praying “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” is a power-less prayer unless one is spending time in the presence of God and going out in the world with the power and Kingdom perspective of God-we place a priority on praying.
Praying for one another, praying for our churches, praying for our community, and praying for a revival of God. But most of all-we learn and experience together what it means to dwell in the presence of the glory of God and re-‘present’ Jesus in the world

7 Values of Together In Christ

  • Worship and Prayer

We desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth in both our personal and public lives by dedicating ourselves to passionate Christ-centered worship and prayer. As people who are created for worship, we understand ourselves as persons of prayer set in a community of prayer.

  • Catalyst for Action

We believe our worship and prayer is not an alternative to service or action, but its root and foundation. Accordingly, we desire to respond to our Lord when we hear Him calling us to participate with Him in initiating, convening, and releasing the Body of Christ in Kingdom work.

  • Unity

We believe our worship and prayer is not an alternative to service or action, but its root and foundation. Accordingly, we desire to respond to our Lord when we hear Him calling us to participate with Him in initiating, convening, and releasing the Body of Christ in Kingdom work.

  • Perseverance and Consistency

God is constantly at work around us. We believe that through our perseverance and consistency in meeting Him, people with ever-sharpening ‘Kingdom eyes and ears’ will have an increasing love for God and one another and a deepening desire to practice ‘praying without ceasing’.

  • Relationships

We believe that God places a high value on relationships and that the call to be ministers of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:16-21) is to permeate all our activities. We desire to bring people into right relationship with God, other Christ-followers, and others in our community.

  • Community Engagement

We believe our call to salt and light in our community involves both praying for our city and seeking the well-being (literally Shalom) of our city Jer. 29:7). Shalom involves well-being, peace, wholeness, completeness, wellness, health, and prosperity-all of which flow from the character of God.

  • Call to Santa Rosa

We believe that God has called us, His whole Church in Santa Rosa, to demonstrate and proclaim His love in this city- a city to which God has brought both believers and those who are yet to know Him to fulfill His purposes (Acts 17:26). Faithfulness to this call fosters spiritual transformation (people loving God through Jesus) and societal transformation (people loving others as themselves).

[7] But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
